The platform

Sixteen modules, one foundation.

Each module below states its purpose, its users and the business rules that govern it — the same rules implemented in the working application and specified in the product requirements document.

01

Identity, organisations & permissions

Every stakeholder holds their own authenticated account inside an organisation, with a role that determines what they can see and do.

Users

All roles · WASL operations

Business rules

  • Partner organisations start unverified; verification is an authority decision, never self-service.
  • Project-level isolation: a partner sees only the projects it was invited to.
  • Delegated approval limits are enforced in the data layer, not the interface.
02

Project workspace & event templates

One workspace per event or multi-party project, opened from either entry path, carrying every artefact from intake to closure.

Users

Client · Planner · Family approver

Business rules

  • Editable master templates for Saudi weddings, engagements, birthdays, corporate events and exhibitions.
  • Separate, combined and custom hall arrangements are all first-class options.
  • Status moves planning → sourcing → booked → in delivery → completed.
03

Adaptive AI intake & planner

Classifies the project, asks only the questions that matter for its type, then drafts a checklist, category map, budget bands and risk alerts.

Users

Client · Planner

Business rules

  • Explainable by construction — every allocation traces to a published category weight.
  • Recommends and explains; never creates a binding booking, payment or contract.
  • Regenerating replaces AI-authored items only, never human edits.
04

Verified partner directory

The supply side: profiles, categories, cities, languages, capacity, price bands, ratings, response times and compliance documents.

Users

Client · Planner · Operations

Business rules

  • Only verified organisations can receive an RFQ or appear as bookable.
  • Ranking never depends on paid placement without disclosure.
  • Expired compliance documents surface on the profile, not only in admin.
05

RFQ & quotation engine

One scope issued to several verified partners, who answer from their own dashboards with structured line items — never by email attachment.

Users

Client · Planner · Venue · Supplier

Business rules

  • Line items, inclusions, exclusions, VAT at 15% and validity are mandatory fields.
  • Comparison normalises differing exclusions before showing a ranking.
  • Awarding one quote declines the rest and closes the RFQ atomically.
06

Bookings, orders & change orders

An award becomes a booking with a service date, a value, a deposit record and a delivery-evidence trail.

Users

Client · Venue · Supplier · Finance

Business rules

  • Deposit defaults to 20% of the awarded value and is a record, not a settlement.
  • Substitution and cancellation terms must be captured before delivery.
07

Budget, deposits & settlement record

Planned, committed, paid and remaining, per category, updated automatically as quotes are awarded and deposits approved.

Users

Client · Family approver · Finance

Business rules

  • WASL records financial facts. It does not execute a transaction on anyone's behalf.
  • An approval above the approver's delegated limit is refused and logged as refused.
08

Approvals & delegated authority

Named approvers with explicit ceilings, so a father, a finance controller or a board member can approve without seeing everything.

Users

Family approver · Finance · Enterprise admin

Business rules

  • Every approval and every refusal writes a Trust Log event.
09

Internal inbox & project channels

The authoritative conversation. Project channels, direct threads and support, with attachments, mentions and read state.

Users

All project roles

Business rules

  • Email, SMS and WhatsApp are notification channels only — never the record.
10

Guests, RSVP & seating zones

Guest groups by side and category, seats, VIP and accessibility needs, RSVP state and attendance.

Users

Client · Planner · Freelancer

Business rules

  • Guest data is private to the project and never exposed to the partner directory.
11

Day-of run sheet & command centre

Timed entries with an owner, a duration, a dependency and a criticality flag — visible to every confirmed partner.

Users

Planner · Freelancer · Venue · Suppliers

Business rules

  • Critical entries require an assigned escalation owner before publication.
12

Document vault & versioning

Contracts, quotations, invoices, permits, designs and media, each classified and versioned.

Users

All project roles · Auditor

Business rules

  • Classification (public / internal / confidential) drives who can open a file.
13

Ratings, complaints & disputes

Post-delivery ratings, moderated complaints, an evidence-backed dispute workflow and an appeal path.

Users

Client · Partner · Operations

Business rules

  • Disputes draw their evidence from the Trust Log, not from re-typed claims.
14

WASL Academy & certification

Tracks that raise supply quality: partner onboarding, quotation discipline, coordination, hospitality, privacy and freelancer progression.

Users

Partners · Freelancers · Training partners

Business rules

  • Certificates state exactly what was assessed — no implied external accreditation.
15

Membership & entitlements

Plans for clients, planners, suppliers, venues and enterprises, each mapped to concrete platform entitlements.

Users

All organisations · Finance

Business rules

  • All published pricing is a founder assumption pending market validation.
16

Trust Log

The append-only spine: actor, role, timestamp, before and after values, evidence link and a chained digest.

Users

Everyone · Auditor · Dispute resolution

Business rules

  • Nothing is ever edited or deleted. A correction is a new superseding event.
  • Exportable as an evidence chain for a dispute.
